A feeling that I don’t know how to ‘name’ and ‘describe’

Posted on

but nevertheless that made me feel content and loved yesterday…

Yuvan loves Thai food and on and off we have it as family or just him and me.. Yesterday was one of those days..

I know his order never changes but I just wanted to add a stir fried veggie in oyster sauce… Guess what he said, ‘oh ma… Be careful with your oyster allergy… Remember the last time when you had rashes…’ I replied, ‘that was oyster but the sauce should be ok..’ He didn’t give up, ‘but still… we can order some other veggie…’

The guy who was taking out orders pitched in, ‘Mam I can make the same veggie with just garlic..’ And also appreciated Yuvan for his nice thought for his mummy!

I said a huge thank you to Yuvan for remembering ‘ME’! It made me feel loved and content… It does make a difference when anyone remembers you and your health; isn’t it?

That made my day and it was a reassuring feeling that every mom wants now and then:-)

Sporting surprises – F1 and Soccer

Posted on Updated on

Yuvan is so soo keen in sports – whether it is watching the sporting action or playing them.. He is big time F1 fan – loves to do go karting; A huge soccer fan that he follows all the leagues and I am actually every-time amazed with the information he has about all the players/leagues and what not! Cricket is a game that he is so focused on playing and he follows it too… Floor ball is another game that he plays and that his chosen CCA too…

Having said this, meeting his favourite F1 drivers was a dream come true during the last years Singapore GP (2013). He had the opportunity  to go for the F1 Driver’s autograph session (thanks to a few spl ppl), met every one of them, had a word and got their autographs.. And E kept it as a surprise until they reached the location… I am sure both of them were over the moon… Icing on the cake was to follow…Yuvan handed over the handwritten card and a special fan message to his favourite Driver Alonso and  spent some precious 2 mins chatting with him… It was not all that… Not stopping there, Alonso personally came around looking for Yuvan while Yuvan was busy queuing up to get an autograph from Grosjean, handed Yuvan the cap he was wearing and posed for a personal pic.. What a moment for Yuvan! And yes, the cap is on display at home…FotorCreated

And fast froward 2014, we surprised Yuvan again – but this time it’s Soccer Brazil Vs Japan Exhibition match here in SG… and I managed to hold on to it until we reached the venue and he completely enjoyed the ambiance, the match and off-course all the goals scored by his favorite scored by Neymar Jr.

Thanks to GOD and I am learning to count the amazing little blessings and to enjoy good small moments which make up the bigger picture of the life…

A very intense talk

Posted on Updated on

is what we had just now between Yuvan and myself… I don’t want to go into details – but just the topics would give a better picture – and I am exhausted with loads of explanations; for the loads of questions on these topics and questions ..

He started with these…

1. What does it mean when they say India toughens it’s stand against Pakistan?
2. What is the problem between Pak and India?
3. Why can’t we vacate the whole of Kashmir until the problem is solved?
4. Why can’t Indian army be even more fierce?
5. Why are they not stopping the fight ?

And when I thought I was done with explanations, he starts the next one and that is…

1.What does SENSEX mean?
2.What is a share?
3.What is a public listed company?
4. How do people invest?

And then continues
1. What is BSF? And on… On… We ended with the below interesting conversation

Y : Why is Harbhajan Singh wearing a Turban?
Me: (I explained him about Sikhism)
Y: Then, Is Yuvraj Singh a Sikh?
Me: I don’t think so.. Not all Singh’s are Sikh’s…
Yuvan: Then why are all Khans a Muslim?’
Me: rolled eyes*

I ended the conversation with a grin 🙂
