Early in the morning , I bumped into the article in Times of India on a survey conducted on this…. ie Top 10 things Mums get irritated…

I want to know how many of you agree with how many points here….

Here are the highlights of the article…

The research by www.TheBabyWebsite.com found that mothers were also irritated with overflowing bins, urine on the toilet seat, and tissues left in pockets in the washing machine.

Mums already have enough to do without cleaning up after dad and the children.

“It would make life so much easier, and the housework would get done so much faster, if other family members chipped in and tidied up after themselves.

” are taken completely for granted, and because of this they find themselves ”mothering” everyone who lives in the house, including dad,”

The survey also shows 36 per cent of mothers detest picking up the phone to find they are on the end of an automated call.

A third say they hate to see crumbs in the butter and the same percentage are left fuming by shoes left in the hallway.

Fathers are criticised for leaving a room and not turning off the lights, leaving curtains closed when they are the last out of bed and failing to rinse hair from the bath.

And men are also accused of shaving over the sink then leaving the bristles there, dumping muddy shoes outside the back door, and failing to wake up in the middle of the night when the kids start crying.

Children are also at fault, with mothers holding them responsible for storing dirty cups and mugs in their bedrooms and leaving toys scattered over the floor.

Other annoying habits include narrow shopping aisles, finding the toothpaste squeezed in the middle instead of the end and a lack of “me time”.

“This poll shows it isn”t just household chores which annoy mums,”

The survey on 3000 mothers also showed that failing to refill the toilet roll holder, leaving the toilet seat up and finding empty cartons and boxes in the back of the cupboard or fridge, can be major causes of irritation.

“These irritations might seem small and insignificant to other people, but when mums find themselves doing absolutely everything for their families, the endless list of tasks soon starts to grate,” the Scotsman quoted Kathryn Crawford, of the website, as saying.

The story of a broom stick….

ha ha ha.. I was so exhausted coz of this…thatz why wanted to post ..:)

It happened such that my very good old broomstick broke into two on saturday evening.. wherein we were having guests for dinner..So i sent Eash to find one …but he returned saying that there are only the plastic ones which stand like a stick…mmm… normally i purchase the brown one’s… okie.. wat to do.. after cooking for dinner.. i removed the lil dirts literally by crawling on the floor using only the bottom portion…

I had hopes of finding one on Sunday though i know many stores wd be closed.. so sent Eash on Monday to another store..result same. V were again having frens for dinner – who weren’t there during our house warming.. so after alot of cooking i decided to vacuum rather than do the crawling.. (lol) ..n mopped as well.. Anyone can imagine how tiring it wd be after cooking a 3 course meal with starter - thank God i decided To give ice cream for the dessert.. Easy job.. n then doing vacuuming n mopping.. wah…

Yesterday was already wednesday..still no broom.. anywhere near my place.. so yesterday i went on expedition after dropping Yuv at school ..( Now got 3 hrs for me rt?) n found one in a mall two LRT’s away from my place , but still not the old oen i prefer but the softer plastic bristles one.. I was happy to find one which can do the job..

Yuvan’s Classmate n Friend Rachel kissed Yuvan Today,when we all came together out from the lift and said “Yuvan bye bye” i was surprised.they had love fights when she joined after Yuvan in to the class. I jus love her..she is such a cute dolly.. offcourse her grandma too..very nice lady… This is how it happenned..

They were playing with each other in the lift.. and then Rachel just combed Yuvan’s hair n said ..”Yuvan…. (i didn’t get it..) ” ..Out we came of the lift.. she pulled Yuvan n gave a strong kiss on his cheeks n sd ” Yuvan..bye bye..” Yuvan did say ” bye bye Rachel.. nice weekend..” wahhhhhhhh.. wat a sight.. I simply adored:) A kiss i simply loved!!! Wat a way to start the weekend.. Lucky Yuvan..:)

14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Until I Was in Singapore ,into my 8th month of Prego.nothing ..I was working until 1 week before i flew…Once I went to India.. I had Last minute

Hyper tension n Blood Sugar.. but was alright once i changed my diet n relaxed a bit… Since I had varying Hypertension I was induced

15. Where did you give birth? PSG Hospitals,India

16.How many hours were you in labor? more than 14 hrs.. but had the labor pain only for abt 3 hrs

17. Who drove you to the hospital? Since i was to be induced ,it was pre-planned ,went with my mom n got admitted

18.Who watched? My Doctor, My Anesthetist n other assisting staff

19. Was it vaginal or c-section? C – Section

20. Did you take medicine to ease the pain?

I was sedated hips down.. but with no sleep for almost more than 24 hrs n sedation I didn’t sleep a bit…though I was sedated hip down… I could feel every moment of Yuvan taken out of my tummy.. throughout My doc was talking to me and i can hear all the conversations they had ..:) I Myself Checked the Birth time with the doc and I asked the paediatrician who came to chk Yuvan “is my baby all right? ” The doc was so surprised too.. I slept only after I was given a sedative after I was moved to the Post operative But I shd say my gynae was amazing to me…:) Hats off to her:)

Tea or coffee??

I know the answer rt away.. TEA.. i have always been a Tea Girlie..or a Teapot??

I think i got this habitually from my father who was an avid-tea drinker,shd i say…

He used to drink easily 8-10 cups of tea a day!!! Surprisingly..My Mom n my Brother can’t drink tea ,that they are so used to drinking coffee..more the Indian version of “filter coffee”..

I was an addict to tea until I was in My 12th standard ie until the age of 18..that i cannot start my day without a tea..i need it rt after i finish gargling my toothpaste after i brush..n i need it steaming hot…i cannot stand even a minute later than that..Many times i have fought with my Mom though 99.99% she will b on the dot with my tea..

same goes after i come back from school..I feel that My Brain starts workign only after a Tea!!!

Then..finally i decided that i shd over come this addiction but not quitting tea..n i took it as my resolution for the 1998..n i overcame it..

that’s when i started drinking coffee..once in a while…But That TEA satisfaction nothing else cd match for me..And was on Tea twice a day..But i could manage even without a tea rt after my brush!!The change was awesome..thats what even My MOm felt…

Off i got married in Mid 2004 n My dear Hubby is an avid -coffee lover like my Bro n Mom..as well my In-laws family..

so I switched over to coffee..with not so much interest though…

after moving to SG immediately after my wedding,i had the option to make both at home..but laziness won over me n was making coffee only!!!

Now..after 4.5 years of married life..m back to MY luving tea..

Yep..I have become a Tea girlie again since last 15 days n Coffee for my Lovely Coffee lover only!!

Now u all cd have come to a conclusion why m suddenly blabbering out here abt my tea -stories???

the first thing i did before i wrote her an email on how to tag others was to google the word “quirks”..LOL

So here i go

My Unspectacular Quirks are

1. I can’t stand late cooking…meaning unnecessarily wasting time in the kitchen and cooking the breakfast by 10 n lunch by 2… (two cases – one ^ starting cooking early ,still ending up late.. two ^ starting to cook late without no reason everyday n ending up late on the table..)

M a fast cook as well I cook on time..whether its a holiday or no..Breakfast by 8.30 n Lunch by 12 will b ready on the table,,, Cooking early doesn’t mean to force people to eat immediately as I have finished cooking..they can eat according to their hunger !!!

I always stick to the point,if u think u are a slow cook..then start things early!!!

2.I jus love the smell of nail polish though i dont paint my nails often n the varnish on the walls n the smell of petrol!!!LOL

3.M a Chicken n egg freak…Can survive with eggs only as my meal , one whole day!!!!!half boil- full boil- scramble – omelette’s..whatever…….

4.I’m a Newspaper girlie….Until recently I had the habit,the i need to read newspaper everyday morning compulsorily……i mean the print version..n i jus love the smell of a morning newspaper with a hot cup of tea!! Without reading the print version ,or whenever the newspaper doesn’t get published during some public holidays (one/two)..i feel so incomplete!!!

Now cos of time constraints ,i have become a digital newspaper freak!!!

5.I see “watz the time ” more often on my wrist watch..say every 2-3 minutes…Weird???

My Best schoolie gave her my watch to wear for the day once ,when i forgot my own watch n was just rotating the wrists every now n then n getting upset after seeing that there is not mine in there..n more frustratingly asking her ..(we used to share the same desk at school) for the time… HE he he

6. i love to watch songs with more of scenes that make the choreo rather than dance steps..like the one below..though its in my mother tongue..watch it.. u will feel the love..
